viibra is an Icelandic flute septet that explores the possibilities of expanded flute playing. Founded in 2016 in support of Björk' album Utopia.[1], they are best known for their dynamic role in Björk's highly praised theatrical concert Cornucopia Tour, which viibra performed in from 2018 to 2023. The individual members of viibra are all esteemed performers, composers, and educators working with improvisation and diverse approaches in music making, with active practices within Reykjavík's vibrant creative scene.
Debut album: In May 2024 viibra released their self-titled debut album, viibra.
